Amphenol TFC is looking for an experienced, people-focused Human Resources Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our HR function in our Chatham, VA plant. In addition, they will partner closely with leaders across the business, on-site and remote. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a manufacturing environment, balances strategy with execution, and is passionate about building strong, compliant, and engaged workplaces.
The role can be based in our manufacturing facility in Chatham, VA, or in our engineering facility in Raleigh, NC (must split time between the two locations).
As the HR Manager, you’ll oversee the full employee lifecycle and serve as a trusted advisor to our leaders and employees.
Responsibilities include:
- Talent Acquisition: Partner with departments on full-cycle recruiting.
- Onboarding, Training & Development: Lead high-quality onboarding and training initiatives
- Performance Management: Implement and manage fair, consistent performance improvement processes
- Policies, Compliance & Employee Relations: Maintain and update HR policies to ensure legal compliance and best practices. Act as an advisor on employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions
- Organization Development: Design and deploy HR programs that strengthen engagement,
- Compensation, Benefits & Payroll: Ensure smooth and accurate payroll operations
- Support Union Negotiations and Support.

- Lead an HR Administrator.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive HR management experience in manufacturing, preferably in a union environment.
- Broad expertise across all HR functions and best practices
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
- Strong people orientation and employee advocacy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive, self-starting mindset
- Analytical, organized, and decisive under pressure
- Experienced in mediation, conflict resolution, and change management
- High ethical standards and a positive, solutions-oriented attitude
- Proven leader who can influence, educate, and partner effectively across the organization
