Location: King George

Diploma or degree in Human Resources management required or equivalent experience.

Strong knowledge of current employment law matters, with a strong commitment to

diversity management.

Demonstrated ability to manage HR core processes such as talent management,

succession planning, and employee relations.

Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all

times.

Strong presentation, written, and verbal skills.

Strong morals and ethics, along with a commitment to staff privacy.

Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively with

Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.

Job Duties
  • Administer the recruitment process.
  • Ensure the compatibility of applicants to job positions.
  • Perform interviews, screens, and recruit for all job openings.
  • Check prospective employee references.
  • Ensure that all employees comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Communicate to internal stakeholders in Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and regulations.
  • Provide resolutions to employee relation issues (e.g. employee complaints and harassment allegations)
  • Administer new hire orientation and training within the organization.
  • Administer and record employee recognition and incentive programs.
  • Build and sustain beneficial relationships with employment agencies and educational institutions.
  • Develop and provide recommendations for policies and processes.

    Provide research as requested.
  • Plan and organize staff events and Social Club activities.
  • Provide general information and assistance internally and externally over the phone, electronically and in person.
  • Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Recommend new policies and procedures to effect company improvements.
  • Assist with processing of terminations.
  • Assist on and prepare correspondence.
  • Assist with the performance review process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisor’s, OH&S committee members, and all employees.

Communicate known or reasonably foreseeable Health and Safety hazards to which

employees are likely to be exposed by their work.

Ensure there are emergency response plans in place that detail timely and appropriate

actions to be taken in response to emergency situations.

Develop and maintain effective disability management programs that provide all

employees affected by disabling occupational injuries or illnesses with an early return-towork
