IT Support, Hardware Engineer

Join our dynamic AWS team as a Data Center Technician. You will perform server rack installations, hardware break‑fix, network troubleshooting, and routine repairs to support the availability of AWS services. You will also serve as the primary contact for stakeholders, participate in on‑call rotations, and contribute to documentation and process improvement.
Key responsibilities- Perform server rack installations and hardware break‑fix on various components.
- Troubleshoot network issues and respond to operational incidents that impact service availability.
- Carry out routine network, server hardware, and operating system repairs.
- Serve as a primary contact for internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors.
- Perform on‑call duties and participate in scheduled maintenance and change management activities.
- Contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives.
- Help interview, train, and onboard new team members.
- Lifting and moving material up to 40 pounds.
- Working in cramped and/or elevated locations.
- Bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.
- Standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day.
- Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.
- Working in an industrial environment.
- Shifts longer than 8 hours to support 24/7 operations.
- 2+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting experience or related IT experience.
- 2+ years of computer layer 1/2 networking (troubleshooting and repair) experience.
- Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed.
- Willingness to temporarily work at alternative sites during training periods.
- Flexible schedule to include weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Knowledge of network design, protocols, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT‑related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in a data center or critical environment.
- Experience training and onboarding new team members.
The base salary for this position ranges from 30.00 to 54.00 USD hourly. The total compensation package includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
