Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Testing and Validation Specialist to join our dynamic healthcare IT team. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, security, and compliance of our data migration processes and new application development within the healthcare sector.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute detailed test plans and validation protocols to ensure the quality and integrity of data migration from legacy systems to new platforms.
- Work closely with data architects and project managers to understand data schemas, and integration workflows.
- Validate the functionality, performance, and scalability of new healthcare applications under development.
- Identify, document, and troubleshoot any issues found during testing, providing detailed reports and recommendations for resolution.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA and GDPR, as well as internal data governance and security policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, system architects, and product managers to refine systems and improve user experience.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest testing methodologies, tools, and trends in healthcare technology.
- Provide training and support to other team members on best practices for testing and validation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
Master's degree preferred. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in testing and validation, specifically within healthcare IT environments.
- Proven experience with data migration projects, understanding of ETL processes, and familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
- Strong analytical skills and experience with both manual and automated testing tools.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively in a team and with stakeholders at various levels.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and understanding of their data services.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, Python, or Java.
- Certifications in Quality Assurance, Testing, or relevant healthcare IT standards.
