OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support and enhance a complex enterprise network environment. This role is focused on LAN/WAN infrastructure, advanced troubleshooting, and direct customer interaction. The ideal candidate is highly technical, proactive, and comfortable leading initiatives while serving as a key point of contact for network-related issues. GENERAL DUTIES:
* Provide advanced troubleshooting and support across LAN/WAN network environments
* Serve as a primary interface with customers, clearly communicating technical issues, updates, and resolutions
* Lead network upgrades, migrations, and implementation projects from planning through execution
* Support and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security
* Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues
* Coordinate and manage ticket queues, ensuring timely resolution and proper escalation when needed
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network-related initiatives and incident response
* Document network configurations, procedures, and changes
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience OR Master's degree with 6+ years of experience
* DoD IAT Level II certification
* CCNA certification required
* Strong experience supporting and troubleshooting complex network environments
* Deep expertise in LAN/WAN technologies and network protocols
* Hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies
* Experience working in Juniper environments or supporting migrations from Juniper to Cisco
* Proven ability to lead network implementation and upgrade efforts
* Experience with network monitoring, maintenance, and ticketing systems
* Strong communication skills and experience working directly with customers DESIRED
QUALIFICATIONS:
* CCNP certification
* Experience in enterprise or government environments
* Familiarity with network security concepts and best practices CLEARANCE:
* Active TS/SCI clearance required
