Agile Business Systems Analyst - Scrum Delivery & Quality Assurance Full-Time | Hybrid (3 Days Onsite - Irvington, VA) Overview

This is a hands‑on Agile delivery role within a well‑established insurance organization supporting mission‑critical business systems and operational workflows used across the enterprise.

The team operates in a fast‑paced Scrum environment where delivery speed, quality, and continuous improvement are key priorities. You will play a central role in ensuring business requirements are clearly defined, effectively tested, and successfully delivered into production.

This is a highly collaborative role sitting at the intersection of business and technology, with ownership spanning requirements, testing, and release validation across the full delivery lifecycle.

Role Purpose

The Agile Business Systems Analyst will act as a key delivery partner within a Scrum team, working closely with Product Owners, developers, QA resources, and business stakeholders to define, refine, and deliver high‑quality solutions.

This role is responsible for translating complex business needs into clear, actionable user stories, supporting prioritisation and sprint planning, and ensuring solutions are fully validated through structured testing and UAT.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate business requirements into well‑defined user stories with clear acceptance criteria
  • Partner with Product Owners on backlog refinement, sprint planning, and prioritisation
  • Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure shared understanding of requirements and solutions
  • Own functional testing and support end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Identify defects, manage tracking, and drive resolution through to closure
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to workflows and systems
  • Support releases across development, test, and production environments
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous delivery improvements
In Order To Be Successful

Strong experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments is essential, with proven capability across business analysis and functional testing.

You will have experience writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, supporting UAT, and working closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver working solutions.

Hands‑on experience with Jira or Azure Dev Ops and defect tracking tools is highly beneficial.

Why This Role Stands Out

This is a high‑visibility Agile delivery role embedded within a stable and well‑established insurance organisation delivering business‑critical systems across the enterprise.

You will have real ownership across the full delivery lifecycle, directly influencing how solutions are defined, tested, and released into production.

The role offers strong exposure to both business and technical teams, with the opportunity to shape delivery quality, improve processes, and play a key part in ensuring systems are delivered efficiently and accurately in a fast‑paced Scrum environment.
