Forescout Systems Engineer

Position

Forescout Systems Engineer – Army National Guard (ARNG), Falls Church, VA.

Support and secure complex government, defense, and intelligence projects by modernizing and strengthening ARNG’s global IT services, including networking, compute, storage, cybersecurity, and application hosting.

• Update Forescout console with network subnet definitions for discovery.
• Update and maintain the console for effective network discovery and monitoring.
• Troubleshoot issues within the console, network discovery, reachability, SNMP, and device interfacing.
• Analyze network traffic and review IP configurations to resolve communication problems.
• Generate reports, create system diagrams using Microsoft Office and Visio.
• Respond to and manage tickets via Service Now and follow change‑management procedures.
• Provide outage notifications, inventory support, and regular network analysis for performance and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external partners to ensure operational efficiency.

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information assurance, computer science or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or computer science.
• Technical expertise: LAN/WAN (MPLS), Cisco router/switch configuration (IOS & Nexus), DHCP/DNS, Forescout (eye Sight/eye Control).
• Experience with federal/DOD contracts, Service Now ticketing, Network Access Control (802.1X), and remote equipment management.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Project orientation, reliable adherence to deadlines, and capacity to present technical information to leadership.
• CompTIA Security+ CE (or equivalent) baseline certification. Must obtain an additional computing‑environment certification within six months of hire (e.g., CEH, CCNA‑Security, CND).
• Active Secret security clearance required and must be maintained.
• US citizenship required.

Falls Church, VA. Three (3) days on‑site weekly with up to two (2) days telework. Onboarding requires up to 60 days of on‑site support. Work schedules may change per mission requirements.

Salary range: $119,000 – $161,000. Weekly hours: 40 hours. Travel: less than 10% of time.
