Role Overview :

Are you energized by solving complex system issues and supporting business partners in high‑impact moments? As a Business Support Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring mortgage and equity systems run smoothly from start to finish. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys deep problem‑solving, cross‑team collaboration, and being a trusted escalation point during system challenges and outages. You'll leverage your understanding of real estate lending processes, technical troubleshooting, and communication skills to keep operations stable and partners informed.

Key Responsibilities:

* Troubleshoot and resolve complex mortgage and equity system issues from intake through resolution

* Serve as an escalation point for moderately complex and urgent inquiries impacting accounts, systems, and business operations

* Analyze system behavior, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions

* Collaborate closely with internal teams, vendors, and leadership to stabilize systems during outages or degradations

* Support system testing, validations, and implementation of new enhancements and processes

* Perform research to improve operational efficiency and reduce recurring issues

* Ensure systems and processes meet regulatory and procedural requirements

* Draft and distribute clear mass communications during incidents to keep partners informed

* Participate in cross‑organizational initiatives related to new systems, products, or services

* Provide weekend and off‑hours support on a rotating schedule, including Saturday coverage and system validations

Qualifications:

* Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment

* Entry‑level knowledge of real estate systems and mortgage, refinance, and equity processes

* Advanced analytical, research, and problem‑solving skills

* Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to understand and resolve complex system issues

* Experience navigating multiple systems and adapting quickly to new technologies

* Familiarity with basic SQL queries and making updates as needed

* Advanced verbal and written communication skills

* Strong judgment and initiative when making decisions under supervision

* Ability to interpret and apply guidelines, procedures, and regulations accurately

Compensation and Benefits:
The pay rate for this position is between $15.00 and $20.00 per hour. Please note that the final rate may be contingent on experience and other factors.
