Overview

Strategic Technology Consulting (STC), an Arcfield Company, is seeking a talented professional to join our team as a Digital Engineering Tools Administrator.

STC is looking for an experienced Digital Engineer with a passion for deploying and configuring infrastructure and software solutions to fit customers' requirements, while focusing on process improvements, efficiency, and automation. Interested candidates should thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment supporting both commercial and government clients. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, leadership abilities, be organized, able to prioritize, and understand the value of providing strong customer service.

This position will serve as a subject matter expert on STC’s Digital Engineering Infrastructure team, guiding customer admins on how to configure their systems. The chosen candidate will work directly with customers, with little oversight, and will demonstrate a high level of interaction, initiative, and influence for Digital Transformation efforts. They will bring their skills to bear to help customers achieve their Digital Thread and Digital Twin goals.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive Digital Engineering strategies to support DoD and/or commercial customer initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including systems engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure alignment and progress in digital engineering initiatives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Digital Engineering, guiding both internal and customer teams on best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Deploy common MBSE and DE COTS software, such as modeling tools (Cameo, Magic, SAM), middleware (e.g., Syndeia, eCube, SBE Vision).
  • Configure assets in Azure Cloud and/or Amazon Web Services.
  • Architect, build, secure, and maintain production‑grade Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability, cluster deployment, and smooth deployments.
  • Speak effectively in front of a group to either coordinate and/or provide technical direction to customer admins.
  • Communicate with senior customers, keep all stakeholders informed, prioritize tasks, and vet priorities.
  • Interpret and adjudicate user needs; translate user needs expressed as business requirements into technical requirements; implement or customize tools to meet those needs.

Qualifications Required Skills
  • BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5
  • BS Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (IT/Engineering/etc)
  • Eligibility for security clearance.
  • Eligible for TS or TS/SCI.
  • Expertise with major versions of Linux and Windows Server.
  • Experience configuring COTS software to fit customers’ requirements and processes.
  • Knowledge of IT concepts and best practices, including for cybersecurity.
  • Extensive experience with Kubernetes and best practices for implementing containerization.
  • Fluent in the concepts of MBSE, DE, Digital Threads, and Digital Transformation.
  • Experience designing production‑grade clusters across multi‑cloud or on‑premises environments.
Preferred Experience
  • Familiarity with Java and enterprise databases (Cassandra, DB2, etc).
  • Knowledge of Agile terminology, theories and best practices.
  • Familiarity with DoD and Intelligence Community regulations, directives, policies and compliance for ATO.
  • Experience developing and troubleshooting workflows.
  • Experience identifying, researching, and testing alternative solutions.

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, contract wage determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (for remote opportunities), education and certifications as well as federal government contract labor categories.
