Responsibilities

• Provide IT systems administration support in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.
• Manage and maintain core services including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory (AD), and server replication.
• Troubleshoot and resolve moderate to complex issues involving integration of hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
• Implement and manage data RAID, backup, and recovery technologies.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain compliance with security requirements.
• Install, configure, and document software applications requested by end users.
• Provide user and system documentation, process training, and ongoing technical support.
• Participate in on‑call or after‑hours system maintenance as required to support 24×7 operations.
• Travel up to 5% domestically based on business needs.

  8140/8570 Certification (CompTIA Security+CE or equivalent) with company support.

• University degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 2years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
• U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance required.
• At least 2years of experience with Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, Veeam, MySQL, Windows or Linux system administration, and network administration.
• Ability to meet Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140/8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+CE or equivalent) within 6months of start date.

• Linux system administration experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Operating System Certification (Microsoft, Red Hat, etc.).
• Experience with NISPOM or DoD/RMF compliance.
• Experience in Windows Desktop and Server management, data storage (NAS/SAN) solutions, IT project lifecycle management, VMware vCenter, vSphere, and ESX, Microsoft WSUS and Exchange, supporting software, simulation and hardware engineering environments, high‑performance computing environments, scripting/automation (e.g., Power Shell, Bash).
