UX​/CX Specialist - Mid with Security Clearance

We are seeking a Mid-Level UX/CX Specialist to support FEMA's user experience and service delivery efforts across cloud-hosted applications and digital services. This role focuses on user research, UX artifacts, and interaction design aligned with Section 508 and federal digital service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct user interviews, usability testing, and journey mapping.

* Develop wireframes, personas, and service blueprints.

* Support design of intuitive, accessible interfaces following FEMA and DHS standards.

* Collaborate with developers, PMs, and business analysts to translate research into actionable requirements.

* Ensure 508 compliance and accessibility best practices.

Minimum Requirements:

* Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in a similar role.

* Proficiency with UX/UI tools (Figma, Adobe XD).

* Understanding of user research methods and human-centered design.

* Familiarity with CISA, DHS, and federal digital service guidelines. Education and Certification Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Design, Communications, Marketing, or related field.

* Agile or UX certification preferred. Clearance Requirements:
* U.S. Citizenship

* Ability to obtain Public Trust. Active Public Trust is preferred. FEMA Public Trust is highly preferred.
