Position Overview:
We are seeking a Dev Ops Automation Engineer to support automation, continuous integration, continuous delivery, deployment, and operational engineering activities for the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). The engineer will develop and maintain automation solutions that improve the reliability, consistency, security, and efficiency of software and infrastructure delivery.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Build automation scripts and tools for application and infrastructure deployment.
- Support Azure Dev Ops and related Dev Ops tooling.
- Automate repetitive operational, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
- Implement source-control and automated build processes.
- Support release management and environment deployments.
- Troubleshoot build, deployment, integration, and configuration issues.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code and configuration-management solutions.
- Integrate automated testing and security controls into delivery pipelines.
- Support containerized application deployment and related automation where applicable.
- Monitor automation processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, system administrators, cybersecurity teams, and other technical staff.
- Develop technical documentation, scripts, procedures, and operational runbooks.
- Follow DOJ security, privacy, configuration-management, and operational requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Dev Ops, automation, systems engineering, software engineering, or related areas.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops (ADO) or comparable Dev Ops platforms.
- Experience with Git or other source-control technologies.
- Strong scripting experience with Power Shell, Python, Bash, or similar.
- Experience automating application or infrastructure deployments.
- Understanding of Dev Sec Ops principles.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting U.S. Federal Government or DOJ environments.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms and hybrid environments.
- Experience with containers and orchestration platforms.
- Experience integrating security and automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
U.S. Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain the applicable federal Public Trust suitability determination.
Compensation:
The expected compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $140,000 annually. Compensation is determined in good faith and may vary based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, clearance level, labor category alignment, contract requirements, work location, internal equity, and business needs. The posted range reflects Sky's reasonable estimate at the time of posting and does not guarantee a specific salary or rate.
Final compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's qualifications and applicable contractual and business considerations.
