We are seeking a Senior Service Now System Administrator with strong hands-on development and technical expertise to support an enterprise Service Now environment for the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). This role combines advanced platform administration with Service Now application development, integrations, scripting, security, upgrades, and technical solution delivery.
Responsibilities- Administer, configure, and support Service Now across multiple modules, including ITSM, CSM, CMDB, Service Portal, Change, Request, and Knowledge Management.
- Design, develop, and implement Service Now applications, workflows, and platform enhancements.
- Develop and maintain Service Now solutions using JavaScript/Glide scripting, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, and UI Policies.
- Design and implement integrations using APIs, Integration Hub, and scripted integrations.
- Support Service Now upgrades, patches, troubleshooting, and performance optimization while minimizing service disruption.
- Implement security, ACLs, access controls, and configuration management practices in accordance with federal requirements.
- Manage update sets, application repositories, instance promotions, and deployment activities.
- Maintain technical documentation and coding standards and contribute to Agile/Scrum delivery and release management.
- 5-7 years of experience managing and developing within a Service Now environment supporting a U.S. Federal Government agency.
- Strong hands-on Service Now development and configuration experience.
- Experience with JavaScript/Glide scripting and Service Now development tools.
- Experience with Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, workflows, and integrations.
- Experience with Service Now APIs, Integration Hub, and enterprise system integrations.
- Experience with Service Now security, ACLs, configuration management, upgrades, and deployments.
- Strong troubleshooting, technical documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist
- Customer Service Management (CIS-CSM)
- Experience with Federal security controls or FedRAMP-aligned Service Now environments.
- Experience with Now Assist, Virtual Agent, or Predictive Intelligence.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Service Now deployments.
- Experience mentoring Service Now administrators or developers.
- ITIL or Agile/Scrum certification.
Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain the applicable federal Public Trust suitability determination.
Work Location:
Remote within the United States, with occasional onsite or travel requirements as needed.
Compensation:
The expected compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 annually. Compensation is determined in good faith and may vary based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, clearance level, labor category alignment, contract requirements, work location, internal equity, and business needs. The posted range reflects the Sky's reasonable estimate at the time of posting and does not guarantee a specific salary or rate.
Final compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's qualifications and applicable contractual and business considerations.
