Job Description

Duties include reviewing insurance documents for pertinent data, inputting data from insurance policies, changing policy records to conform to endorsements, keying in reinsurance data, compiling data on lapsed insurance policies to determine automatic reinstatement according to company policies, canceling and non-renewing insurance policies as requested by underwriting.
Responsibilities:
- Enter new and renewal policy/endorsement information from policies and endorsements that have been issued into our policy data and billing system - WINS
- Correspond with underwriters and other employees of same or different departments to clarify/verify policy information and/or instructions
- Identify and understand file documents such as route sheets, premium audits worksheets, reinsurance cession slips, cancellation/reinstatement/nonrenewal requests, and applications
- Organize and work with detailed office systems
- Review and verify pertinent data, such as age, name, address, and policy premium, and other policy specific detail
- Prioritize workload according to business needs and closing schedule
What you will bring to C&F:
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- High school diploma required.
- 1+ years of data entry experience preferred, within insurance industry is a plus
- Bosa Nova Secure software experience a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Will abide by departmental policies and procedures, including authority levels, to comply with C&F's risk management controls

The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $35,500.00 to a maximum of $52,000.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee's contribution (performance) in that role.
To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
