Overview
This position is responsible for leading, planning, and executing cost-effective and timely maintenance activities to ensure the reliable operation of equipment and processes within the Processing, Maintenance, and Refrigeration departments. The role includes directing, coordinating, and supporting maintenance supervisors and team members, as well as collaborating with contractors, vendors, and engineering teams on equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades.
Responsibilities- Lead, plan, and execute maintenance activities to ensure reliable operation of equipment and processes.
- Direct, coordinate, and support maintenance supervisors and team members; collaborate with contractors, vendors, and engineering teams on installations, modifications, and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex and evolving technical issues while managing highly automated systems (PLC, HMI, robotics).
- Oversee the maintenance training program and assist with budget preparation and management.
- Coordinate team member schedules and ensure parts and assets are available and properly maintained.
- Provide insights for leadership decision-making and take on additional duties as needed.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience - Experience:
5+ years of maintenance supervisory experience - Computer
Skills:
Proficiency in standard computer applications - Communication
Skills:
Strong ability to provide clear direction and effectively lead teams - Technical
Skills:
Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, refrigeration, and automated systems; experience with maintenance training programs preferred - Leadership
Skills:
Sound judgment, strong decision-making, organization, delegation, and ability to manage responsibility - Supervisory Responsibility:
Oversees a team of maintenance supervisors and related operational personnel - Travel:
Occasional travel (1–5 trips per year)
