Commercial Banking Area President/Commercial Lender & Relationship Manager (Business Development Officer) oversees the bank’s operations in the region, ensuring growth in loan, deposit and non‑interest income. The role drives profitability, asset quality and customer experience across multiple markets while leading a team of banking officers and managing staffing, compensation and performance. Executive management is supportive and accessible, offering a culture that does not rely on product‑of‑the‑day widgets or overly aggressive sales campaigns.

• Represents the bank throughout the region in a manner aligned with the client’s aspiration to be the financial institution of choice and recognized as a top business leader in all of our markets.
• Guides sales and business development, focusing on loan, deposit and non‑interest income growth and cross‑functional referral activity.
• Accountable for overall profitability, pricing discipline, net interest margin management, optimization of non‑interest income and operating efficiency.
• Ensures overall asset quality, holding Commercial Lending Officers accountable for safety and soundness within defined risk parameters.
• Represents the bank’s culture of responsibility, emphasizing communication, employee recognition, engagement, teamwork and professional growth of associates.
• Meets or exceeds annual goals aligned with the strategic plan and key metrics such as ROE and ROA.
• Retains key senior team members and minimizes unwanted turnover.
• Manages direct reports, including Lending Officers, oversees hiring, firing, salary administration and ensures HR alignment.
• Embodies the aspirational standard for exceptional customer experience and owns recovery of service complaints.
• Familiar with most profitable customer relationships in each market and supports bankers in business development and retention.
• Cultivates engagement of Local Advisory Boards of Directors, may serve as chair, and collaborates with region employees to meet advisor expectations and generate referrals.
• Participates in strategic planning and owns execution priorities as assigned.
• Leads by example, aligns with the company’s Servant Leadership philosophy, and ensures outstanding service to customers.
• Adheres to compliance with laws concerning financial institutions.
• Performs other duties as required by business needs.
• Stays current on trends, legal, regulatory, economic, competitive and technology environments to adapt operations.
• Completes special assignments directed by the President or CEO.

• Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related area or equivalent education and experience; MBA or related graduate education desirable. Completion of graduate‑level banking school preferred.
• Minimum five years banking experience with proven management and leadership skills, including commercial banking, retail banking, mortgage, wealth management and marketing; previous President role in a similar sized bank preferred.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Board(s) of Directors, President, CEO, managers, employees and clients.
• Demonstrated ability to provide work direction, communicate expectations, manage performance and direct business development activities.
• Constructive and effective interaction with all constituencies.
• Capability to develop, communicate and implement strategic initiatives to meet organizational and market objectives.

Annual salary range: $115,000 to $185,000 USD.
