Work Schedule
- This is a full-time position with a standard work schedule of Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend hours are required to support classes, events, and community outreach activities. Job Description
- Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia's capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. The Director of Healthcare Programs provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for healthcare workforce development initiatives. This role is responsible for the growth, innovation, and sustainability of healthcare training and credentialing programs aligned with regional workforce needs, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The Director works collaboratively with business and industry partners, economic and workforce development agencies, and college leadership to develop responsive, high-impact programming.

This position plays a key role in ensuring CCWA remains a premier provider of healthcare workforce solutions by leveraging partnerships, grant funding, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for healthcare workforce programs, including planning, growth, and resource management.
  • Develop and expand healthcare training programs aligned with industry needs, workforce trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with employers, industry leaders, and public agencies; negotiate contracts and training agreements.
  • Oversee program budgets, grants, and financial performance to ensure sustainability and compliance.
  • Supervise and support staff, including hiring, performance management, and professional development.
  • Monitor and analyze program outcomes (enrollment, completion, certification, job placement) to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure curriculum quality and compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards (e.g., BON, NHA, SCHEV).
  • Lead marketing, outreach, and stakeholder engagement efforts to promote programs and enhance community impact.

Special Assignments
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, education, or a related field. Significant experience in workforce development, healthcare education, or program management. Demonstrated leadership experience supervising staff and managing complex operations. Knowledge of healthcare industry trends, credentialing, and regulatory requirements. Experience with budgeting, grants, and financial oversight. Strong communication, partnership development, and organizational skills.
