Description

Looking for an opportunity to make an impact? At Leidos, we turn challenges into opportunities through the ingenuity of our diverse, mission driven teams. Every day, we deliver innovative solutions that support our customers' toughest missions - guided by our commitment to integrity, excellence, and service. If you're driven by purpose and energized by complex, hands‑on technical work, you'll feel right at home here.

Your

Next Mission Starts Now

The Defense Group at Leidos is seeking an Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Maintenance Manager to join our team at a CONUS location based out of Bridgewater, VA. This is a unique opportunity to apply your mechanical expertise in support of a high‑visibility aviation mission. In this role, you'll perform inspections, scheduled maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of powered and non‑powered aviation ground support equipment—ensuring every asset meets Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standards.

This

Role Matters

As the GSE Maintenance Manager, you will be a critical link between operations, aircraft maintenance, and primary mission equipment (PME) teams. Your work directly supports flight readiness and mission success. You'll spend time on the flight line, inside aircraft, and working hands‑on with specialized payload systems—technology few people ever get to experience. This is a rare chance to help transition cutting‑edge systems from the lab into real‑world operational environments.

If you thrive in fast‑paced, technical environments and want to be part of something bigger, keep reading.

  • Comprehensive maintenance and inspections:
Perform preventive, routine, periodic, repair, and overhaul maintenance on GSE and non‑aviation equipment in accordance with OEM manuals and industry standards.

  • Maintenance record management:
Track inspections, repairs, and historical data for all assigned equipment.

  • Tool accountability:
Maintain hand and power tools using proper tool‑control processes to support FOD prevention and workplace safety.

At Leidos, we don't want someone who "fits the mold"—we want someone who melts it down and builds something better. This is a role for the restless, the over‑caffeinated, the ones who ask, "what's next?" before the dust settles on "what's now."

If you're already scheming step 20 while everyone else is still debating step 2... good. You'll fit right in.
