Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Using a trimming knife, separate laminated panels, making sure not to damage the surface of the panel.
  • Carefully monitor the laminate quality, including the following:
    • Quality of adhesive bond of film to panel.
    • Quality of film embossing, color quality and general roll-to-roll consistency throughout a production run.
    • Check for defects including color misprints, damaged panels, and foreign material under the film.
  • Communicates with Operator about general or specific conditions and potential lamination problems.
  • Communicates with board stacker when a panel should be pulled out for rejection or evaluation.
  • Communicates with other line personnel when a panel is called out reasons for rejection or evaluation.
  • Assists in the signaling of gaps and other potential lamination problems.

Secondary Duties/Responsibilities (when line is stopped):

  • Cleans up around work area when line is stopped.
  • Cleans out the glue application rollers at the end of each shift.
  • Available to assist operator and other co-workers as needed.
