Assistant Flexsizer Operator

Overview:

An ASSISTANT FLEXSIZER OPERATOR is tasked with assisting the operator of the flexsizer/ham portioner machine, including all support equipment associated with the line. The successful candidate should possess mechanical aptitude, be able to troubleshoot issues, and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. The candidate will also be responsible for successfully breaking down and spraying down the unit after production.

In the event that the operator is absent, the assistant is expected to fill in.

• Will adhere to proper manufacturing methods to sustain Food Safety and Quality expectations.
• Will collaborate and resolve issues quickly and efficiently focusing on our company's Core Values.
• Responsible for performing tasks as described and assigned by the department lead/supervisor.
• Must be able to multi-task with minimal supervision.
• Must work as a team player, ensuring standard operating specifications are achieved and in a safe/efficient manner
• Communicate well with other team members
• Assist in other areas as assigned by lead, supervisor or manager.
• Must follow Company’s GMP’s, SOP’s, plant rules, other policies and codes of conduct.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
• Strive to satisfy the requirements of both internal and external customers
• Other duties as assigned.
• Employee is required to work in cold, damp environment.
• Work with minimal supervision

• Must have basic oral and written communication skills
• Ability to stand, reach, stoop, kneel or crouch for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift and move 50-75 pounds (with assistance, when required)
• Available to work a Monday to Friday schedule, with weekend work as dictated by production needs
• Be at least 18 years old

Must have less than 7 occurrences and not been awarded a higher rated job in the last 6 months.
