Quality Engineering
Uses hands-on technical skills to test construction materials such as aggregates, soils, concrete, and asphalt in a laboratory setting. Performs chemical and physical testing following established standards to support product quality, process improvements, and new product development.
In this role, you’ll support Luck Stone by applying your materials testing knowledge and sharing product insights. Work may be done independently or with limited supervision and requires the ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and work efficiently throughout the day.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS65% of job:
Responsible for the execution of various construction aggregate, concrete, and asphalt tests and assisting other associates in such tasks, which includes equipment setup and operation, testing, data entry and review, and communication of results.
20% of job:
Coordination of 3rd Party testing (sample prep, sample shipping, data review, invoicing, etc.)
15% of job: maintain the laboratory clean and orderly, moving equipment and materials, running errands, obtaining information on the phone, and conducting preventive maintenance activities to ensure proper working order of laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSRequired
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Required
Work Experience:
1-3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred
Work Experience:
Previous experience in soils, geotechnical testing, aggregates, ready-mix concrete, or asphalt.
