Process Laboratory Technician

Position Type: 10 month contract assignment with additional opportunity contingent upon performance and continued business need

Job Location:

Narrows, VA

Shift: 1st Shift

Compensation: $22/HR

• Provide technical support by operating pilot-scale laboratory equipment, including mixers, pumps, tanks, and high-speed mechanical processing equipment, in accordance with established trial plans or procedures.
• Perform physical and visual quality evaluations with strong attention to detail.
• Review process controls and data for reporting and identification of optimization opportunities.
• Communicate trial data and key learnings effectively to the coordinator to support continuous improvement efforts.
• Use initiative and troubleshooting skills to identify issues and implement corrective actions as needed.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing, process laboratory, or hands-on research environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with chemical handling preferred.
• Experience operating a motorized pallet jack preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally move heavy items with assistance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for data manipulation and report generation.
• Additional physical screening required.
