SalaryThe hourly wage for this position ranges from $22.00 – $24.00 and varies based on specific responsibilities and geographic location. The starting hourly rate within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or skillset.
ShiftMonday – Friday 7:00 – 3:00 pm, with some overtime and weekend availability.
SummaryThe Assembly Technician II (Electrical) position encompasses the assembly of diverse sub‑assemblies and/or finalized products for general‑purpose machines. Core duties involve conducting functional tests to ensure compliance with specifications, executing quality checks, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring punctual deliveries. These roles report directly to the Operations Manager, playing a crucial part in the production process’s efficiency and adherence to standards.
Essential Functions- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions to determine assembly procedures.
- Assemble various components with hand tools and power tools, using feeler gauges, common hand tools (manual, air‑driven & battery), arbor presses, and hand trucks.
- Verify dimensional specifications, alignment, and functionality of assembled parts.
- Perform and troubleshoot mechanical adjustments and alignments to ensure proper fit and operation of equipment.
- Perform operating tests per product checklists.
- Interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to assemble electrical components.
- Install and troubleshoot electrical components such as switches, sensors, connectors, and wiring harnesses.
- Conduct visual inspections of assembled components to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Identify and rectify any discrepancies or defects in the assembly process.
- Document assembly processes, test results, and any quality issues encountered.
- Maintain effective communication.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, including the use and implementation of 6S.
- Record production data daily.
- Assist in training new assemblers.
Education:
A high school diploma (or GED) is required.
Experience:
5+ years of experience; electro‑mechanical troubleshooting and assembly experience required; machine building experience a plus; basic computer skills, Microsoft Office.
