JOB SUMMARY
You will be responsible for maximizing shift efficiency, machine uptime, and quality by combining hands-on technical maintenance with employee training and development. The core focus is to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and execute day-to-day repairs, while simultaneously upskilling shift employees to improve overall machine run speeds and basic setup capabilities. A key component of this role is ensuring operational safety, strict adherence to SOPs, and team flexibility through structured cross-training.
Success is measured by the quantifiable performance improvements of the shift, equipment reliability, and the successful skill development of the team.

Responsibilities and Activities
- Conducts routine preventative maintenance, inspect systems for potential issues, and complete day-to-day mechanical repairs to reduce production interruptions and maintain quality standards.
- Leads technical training of shift employees to improve overall machine run speeds, master basic machine setups, and independently handle basic maintenance tasks.
- Manages all skill levels across the shift by creating structured, individual development plans and detailed skill outlines for every employee.
- Builds and drives cross-training initiatives, expanding the team's capabilities to ensure machine coverage, and directly operating machinery when needed.
- Follows all company policies, departmental SOPs, and handbook guidelines.
- Promotes a clean, organized work area and immediately communicate all safety issues, incidents, and near-misses.
- Monitors equipment downtime and promptly report major mechanical problems or significant disruptions to the Supervisor.
- Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success.
Work Experience
- Proven experience performing mechanical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and routine repairs on production machinery.
- Demonstrated track record of success as a skilled machine operator within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience mentoring, coaching, or informally training team members on technical processes or machine operation.
- Safety-First Mindset: A proactive commitment to maintaining a clean work environment and a strong awareness of safety protocols.
- Technical & Maintenance Mastery:
Proficient, expert-level skill in operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining the individual machines assigned to you. - Leadership & Communication:
