TheOpportunity
We’re looking for a detail‑driven Quality Control Inspector to help ensure that every part leaving our shop meets the tight tolerances and high standards our customers expect. In this hands‑on role, you’ll work directly with our machinists and engineers — inspecting precision components, maintaining our measuring equipment, and helping uphold the ISO 9001‑certified quality system that sets us apart. Your primary responsibilities will span inspection, calibration, and quality documentation:
Inspection & Measurement- First‑article, in‑process, and final inspection of precision‑machined parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications
- Use a full range of precision measuring instruments — micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, gauge pins, indicators, and more
- Verify parts against tight tolerances and document findings clearly
- Identify nonconforming parts and coordinate with machinists on corrective action
- Maintain and calibrate measuring instruments on a scheduled basis
- Support our ISO 9001 quality management system with accurate records and documentation
- Help maintain inspection reports, certifications, and traceability records
- Contribute to continuous‑improvement efforts on the shop floor
- Prior experience in a machine shop or precision manufacturing inspection role
- Strong working knowledge of measuring instruments and blueprint reading
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical, organized approach to your work
- Comfortable working independently and communicating clearly with machinists and management
- ISO 9001 experience or certification a plus
- Testing will be administered as part of the interview process
