Job Purpose:

The Turret/Brake Operator at VFP INC is responsible for the efficient setup and operation of CNC turret presses and brake presses. This role requires expertise in computer-aided design (CAD) and involves managing the inventory of raw materials, maintaining tools, and ensuring the cleanliness and basic maintenance of equipment. The operator plays a crucial part in the manufacturing process, ensuring precision and quality in production.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC turret presses and brake presses with precision and efficiency.

Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) skills to enhance production processes.

Issue and manage inventory of raw materials to ensure seamless production flow.

Perform tool maintenance to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.

Conduct basic machine maintenance to prevent downtime and extend equipment lifespan.

Clean and maintain equipment to uphold safety and quality standards.

Required

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Technical certification in CNC machining or a related field is preferred.

Required Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC turret presses and brake presses.

Demonstrated experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software.

Experience in tool maintenance and basic machine maintenance.

Familiarity with inventory management and issuing raw materials.

Required

Skills and Abilities:

Proficient in setting up and operating CNC turret presses and brake presses.

Strong understanding of CAD software for design and operational purposes.

Ability to perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.

Excellent attention to detail and precision in work.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machinery issues.

Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
