Join our team as a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Technician and play a key role in ensuring every product meets the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include monitoring production processes, verifying compliance with company, regulatory, and Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards, and helping maintain a safe, high‑quality environment throughout plant operations.
ScheduleMonday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Responsibilities- Accurately conduct product reviews for compliance, including grading, packaging, and weighting.
- Monitor and enforce company Quality and Food Safety Policies.
- Perform product reviews on various products with the Operations Group.
- Ensure familiarity with the facility’s Good Manufacturing Practices and Sanitation Operation Procedures, implementing Corrective Actions when deviations are observed.
- Continuously evaluate potential for foreign material contamination in assigned work areas.
- Perform other tasks and duties as directed by management to meet departmental and operational business needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of six months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past three years in a comparable field.
Education and Experience
- Experience in food quality and/or food safety.
- Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors, including metal and plastic grating surfaces.
- Exposure to temperatures ranging from 28 °F to 100 °F with ambient conditions up to 100 % humidity.
- Handling products from 25 °F to 50 °F.
- Noise levels ranging from 50 dB to 110 dB.
- Exposure to dust, feathers, and chemicals used in poultry and food processing facilities.
- Must wear and use protective and safety equipment as directed by the company.
- Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors up to 10 ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm.
- Ability to stand for several hours.
- Work may include lifting (up to 50 lbs), reaching, bending, and pushing boxes on conveyor assemblies.
