Hiring for 3rd Shift Welders – Level I, II, IIIOur facility is located at 45 Sutton Road, Verona, VA 24482. We are looking for skilled and experienced welders for the 3rd shift, covering 7:30 pm–6 am, Monday–Thursday, with a 1st‑shift training schedule. Starting pay is $28.00 per hour, with a $1.50 per hour 3rd‑shift differential, adjusted based on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities- Follow production orders and prepare parts, tack, and weld components into assemblies.
- Execute welds in accordance with company procedures and documents, meeting defined quality standards.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Properly maintain tools and equipment assigned to duties.
- 1–3 years of experience or equivalent trade school education.
- Capable of MIG and TIG welding of parts and pipe, not yet certified for welding parts under pressure.
- Ability to read WPS and drawings.
- Strong aptitude for problem solving and teamwork.
- Methodical, organized, and precise.
- Proactive in proposing solutions.
- Perform work in various physical positions, including heavy industrial settings with exposure to heat, cold, humidity, fumes, gases, chemicals, noise, vibration, and in cramped quarters.
- Ability to wear required PPE, including hearing protection, safety eyewear, safety footwear, face shield, welding helmet, gloves, sleeves/jacket, apron/chaps.
- MIG/TIG at 6G preferred; minimum of 1 year of pipe welding experience.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in MIG and TIG welding of pipe or pressure vessels.
- Experience and certification in welding in accordance with ASME standard, certified with the company for welding parts under pressure.
- Ability to read WPS and drawings.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor fitting and welding issues.
- At least 5+ years of certified experience in MIG and TIG welding of pipe or pressure vessels.
- Experience and certification in welding in accordance with ASME standard.
- Ability to train other welders.
- Ability to read WPS and drawings, and to teach others.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve fitting and welding issues.
- Strong aptitude for problem solving and teamwork.
- Perform work in various physical positions, including standing, kneeling, bending, and reaching.
- Work in heavy industrial settings with exposure to heat, cold, humidity, industrial odors, fumes, gases, chemicals, oil, grease, smoke, dust, noise, vibration, elevated platforms, and cramped quarters (e.g., inside vessels).
- Ability to wear required PPE, including hearing protection, safety eyewear, safety footwear, face shield, welding helmet, gloves, sleeves/jacket, apron/chaps, and respirator if required.
- Good vision (close, distant, color, depth perception) and hand-eye coordination.
