Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Georgia-Pacific’s Corrugated facility in Martinsville, VA is hiring a skilled and motivated Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations. If you enjoy hands-on troubleshooting, working with both mechanical and electrical systems, and making a direct impact on production, this could be the right opportunity for you.
Pay:
Up to $38.95/hour based on experience
- Rotating 2-2-3 schedule (12-hour shifts)
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Occasional weekends, overtime, and schedule flexibility required

What You Will Do- Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose issues
- Partner with operations teams to resolve equipment problems and improve performance
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and proper machine guarding
- Experience performing electrical and/or mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment
- Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment and systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Experience working with PLCs, motors, and drive systems
- Willing and able to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Associate degree or higher in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or related field
- Knowledge of NEC and NFPA standards
Experience with conveyors, power transmission systems, and rotating equipment
