The Production Maintenance Coordinator is the liaison between the operations/production department and maintenance departments as it pertains to maintaining the assets in the process unit. This role reviews the work requested for appropriate scope and justification and provides maintenance with appropriate priorities based upon business needs, production needs, and budget constraints. The PMC represents operations in the maintenance process and is accountable for the execution of mandatory mandatory mandatory mandatory mandatory mandatory mandatory MMC.
Job Responsibilities- Continuously monitor SAP to screen all work requests (notifications) prior to approval.
- Manage notification and work order backlog with the scheduler/planner to ensure jobs with the highest priority and most value are prioritized, planned, and executed in a timely fashion.
- Act as liaison between multiple organization levels in operations and maintenance work groups to ensure an efficient workflow process is maintained while adhering to the published schedule.
- Manage PM backlog with the planner/scheduler and maintenance supervisor to ensure PMs are executed as required or appropriate documentation is completed to support any exceptions.
- Lead and coordinate with maintenance technicians on PM work and repairs.
- Manage emergency and urgent work requests with Shift FLSs by ensuring necessary planning is done to ensure the safe and timely completion of jobs, review maintenance call‑outs and communicate MOWP KPI performance to site and corporate contacts.
- Maintain, with planner/scheduler and maintenance supervisor, the unit planning priority list that clearly sets required completion dates.
- Based on planned estimates, review and approve work orders and changes to start dates due to material or services requirements to ensure costs are justified according to current business environment and timing can meet the needs of the production unit; this function is accomplished by coordination with the planner/scheduler and maintenance supervisor.
- Maintain the unit scheduling priority list comprised of ready‑to‑schedule regulatory required work, PMs, project related work, and process unit needs.
- Work with scheduling, maintenance and operations FLS and materials management to review and approve the plant maintenance schedule to ensure all available resources are fully utilized.
- Act as point of contact for some rail equipment repair and replacement, as well as some other third‑party services.
- Coordinate some outside services for various periodic planned work.
- Act as point of contact for FEMS, LDAR, and DOR mitigation and reporting.
- Troubleshoot and assist in repairs of equipment failures consisting of, but not limited to:
- Safely and efficiently repairing or replacing various mechanical or electrical components.
- Assisting with troubleshooting PLCs and AC/DC drives.
- Minor welding and fabrication.
- Comply with all safety requirements resulting in zero safety violations; this includes participating in all safety related activities such as safety talks, behavioral based safety observations, audits, etc.
- Proper use of Lock Out, Tag Out and Try Out procedures.
- Follow all company safety procedures, fall protection, arc flash, etc.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without bias sponsorship (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident).
- Minimum six years of maintenance and/or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
