Position Type

Main Position Objectives

Provide high‑quality assembly of Maag family equipment, including dryers and TWS systems, while meeting customer delivery dates.

Position description – Tasks, responsibilities, competencies
  • Assemble dryer rotors and housings using hand tools, power tools, and 2‑D assembly drawings.
  • Balance rotors on all size dryers using overhead cranes and balancing equipment.
  • Build and mount dryer component parts such as agglomerate catchers and pellet diverter valves with hand and air tools, referencing 2‑D drawings.
  • Perform leak tests on dryer and tank housings with soap water and air.
  • Engrave equipment name plates using engraver or laser/ dot‑peen marker.
  • Fill out check sheets during assembly to ensure product quality meets expectations.
  • Put together piping assemblies using hand and power tools.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Work Environment

Primarily on the Eagle Rock assembly floor; may be required at Roanoke facility. Work involves moving mechanical parts, vibration, noise, and may require PPE.

Physical Requirements

Regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing. Must lift up to 50 lbs. Requires use of hands and arms, and the ability to focus vision. Forklift training required; use of lifts and ladders to assemble on structures five feet or higher. Work may involve temperature variations, humidity, rain, snow, wind, and direct sunlight.

Job Specification
  • Education – Mandatory:
    High School diploma or equivalent (technical skills a plus).
  • Desirable:
    Mechanical background and general understanding of tools.
Professional Experience
  • Desirable:
    Experience in other assembly shops/ manufacturing locations.
  • Desirable:
    Experience in auto repair/maintenance.
Interpersonal Skills and Behavioral Competencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized and efficient in approaching tasks.
  • Independent self‑starter with ability to problem‑solve and anticipate issues.
  • Strong team player with work ethic and commitment to win.

  • Will work overtime and weekends when required.
Schedule
  • Monday to Friday.
  • Possible weekends or holidays as needed.
