Hydraulic Assembler
The Hydraulic Assembler assembles, installs, and tests hydraulic systems and components in a manufacturing environment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and hands-on experience working with hydraulic hoses, fittings, valves, pumps, and cylinders. The Hydraulic Assembler supports production goals while consistently maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities- Assemble hydraulic components, including hoses, fittings, valves, pumps, and cylinders according to specifications and work instructions.
- Cut, crimp, and install hydraulic hoses and tubing to meet required tolerances and system requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and work instructions to ensure correct assembly sequence and configuration.
- Align, position, and securely fasten components using hand tools, power tools, and specialized assembly equipment.
- Perform pressure testing and leak testing on hydraulic assemblies to verify proper functionality and system integrity.
- Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues, including leaks, improper fittings, or pressure inconsistencies, and take corrective actions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation while following all safety procedures and personal protective equipment requirements.
- Accurately document work performed, record test results, and report defects or non-conforming products to appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and quality teams to meet production goals and support continuous improvement.
- Previous experience in hydraulic assembly, mechanical assembly, or industrial manufacturing.
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems, hydraulic components, and fluid power principles.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and written work instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting ability in a production environment.
- Hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement equipment such as calipers and micrometers.
- Ability to perform pressure testing and leak testing on hydraulic assemblies.
- Capability to work in a fast-paced production environment and consistently meet daily output requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions and documentation.
- Basic computer usage skills for documentation and production reporting.
Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Vocational training in a mechanical, manufacturing, or technical field is desired.
- Knowledge of hydraulic assembly, hydraulic systems, and hydraulic troubleshooting.
- Experience with precision measuring tools and inspection techniques.
- Comfort working with hydraulic hoses, fittings, valves, pumps, and cylinders.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with production and quality teams.

This role is based in a manufacturing and production setting that is fast-paced and performance-driven. The facility is not climate-controlled, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. Team members work on a first shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime expected before the shift and on some Saturdays as production needs require. The position involves regular use of hand tools, power tools, and specialized assembly equipment, as well as precision measuring instruments.
The dress code includes plain-colored t-shirts (blue or gray preferred), jeans, and steel-toe boots, which are required for safety. Personal protective equipment must be worn as directed to maintain a safe working environment.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of DALEVILLE, VA.
