The Industrial Maintenance Technician 2nd shift plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment within a durable goods production environment. This position focuses on performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules. The technician will collaborate closely with production teams to identify potential issues before they escape, thereby supporting overall plant safety and productivity.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to work all scheduled hours consistently.

• Technical experience in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or a related discipline.
• Experience working in a durable goods manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Basic welding and fabrication skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices.

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and reduce unexpected breakdowns.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system failures promptly to minimize production interruptions.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify equipment issues and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs, service reports, and parts inventory to support operational transparency and compliance.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment during all maintenance activities.

The required skills enable the technician to effectively diagnose and repair complex equipment issues, ensuring minimal disruption to production. Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills are applied daily to maintain and restore machinery functionality. The ability to read schematics and technical manuals supports accurate repairs and preventive maintenance planning. Preferred skills such as familiarity with CMMS enhance the technician’s efficiency in tracking maintenance activities and managing work orders.

Additionally, strong communication and teamwork skills facilitate collaboration with production and engineering personnel to optimize equipment performance and safety.
