Machinist at Lindal

As a machinist, you will manufacture components for our machines and systems using CNC-controlled machine tools. You will enter the manufacturing parameters into the machines or call up programs from the machine memory and modify them if necessary. You will monitor the machining process, remove the finished parts, and check whether the dimensions and surface quality meet the specifications. Regular inspection and maintenance of the machines are also part of your responsibilities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Basics of metalworking; knowledge and skills in turning, milling, and grinding on CNC-controlled machine tools
• Manufacturing precision parts from metal
• Reviewing manufacturing orders for their feasibility
• Creating, testing, and optimizing programs for CNC-controlled machine tools
• Handling measuring and testing devices
• Monitoring and optimizing manufacturing processes
• Maintenance and repair of machines
• Reading technical drawings

Your profile:

• Intermediate school certificate (MSA) or good first general educational certificate (ESA) or an equivalent qualification
• Good grades in physics, technology, mathematics
• Interest in handling technical devices, machines, and systems
• Manual dexterity
• Reliability, thoroughness, and team capability
