We are looking for Production Supervisors for the night shift M-F 10pm-6am to join our team in Costa Rica and support the ramp-up of our production lines in a 24/7 operation.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

The essential functions and responsibilities include the following; additional responsibilities may be assigned:

  • Lead daily operations and personnel activities to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and proper production training.
  • Manage performance, including coaching, development, and performance evaluations.
  • Assume full responsibility for personnel leadership, including hiring, onboarding, workforce planning, and labor relations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, HSE, and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
  • Execute production plans by setting priorities, allocating resources, monitoring performance, and resolving operational issues.
  • Maintain quality, safety, and operational standards in the production environment.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and participate in Lean Manufacturing activities.
  • Drive the implementation of corrective actions derived from audits and operational findings.

Leadership Scope:
Provides direct leadership through motivation, direction, coaching, performance evaluations, and feedback to assigned teams.

  • Production Operators I, II, III
  • Manufacturing Leaders
  • Production Clerks
  • Training Facilitators
  • Training Coordinators

Education and/or

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or production environments.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in leadership or supervisory roles.
  • Experience in the medical device industry is preferred.
  • Competent handling of computer tools, including email, record management, routine databases, word processing, spreadsheets, and basic data/graph reporting.

Other Skills and Capabilities:

  • Strong leadership of self-directed teams with proven personnel management skills.
  • Ability to audit operations, identify non-compliance, and lead corrective action plans.
  • Solid knowledge of labor relations, labor laws, manufacturing methods, production planning, and assembly operations.
  • Strong understanding of production and quality systems, including JIT, CFM, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills in dynamic and low-standardization environments.
  • Ability to interpret and execute technical, procedural, and operational instructions in multiple formats.
