Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Electronic Technician – Level 1 to join our team in Dulles, VA. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.
The selected candidate will perform routine technical functions related to supporting the design, assembly, and maintenance of avionics hardware. In this role, you will work hands-on with electronic assemblies, circuit boards and components to ensure systems meet performance and quality standards. This position is well suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, who enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in delivering reliable, high-quality work.
This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.
In this job, you will:
- Perform assembly of electronic assemblies including soldering, tinning, masking, and bonding.
- Operate specialized electronics assembly equipment.
- Execute procedures, record data, and ensure compliance with engineering specifications and military standards.
- Maintain documentation, calibration records, and ensure compliance with safety and ESD protocols.
- Support root cause analysis of test failures and assist with data collection and corrective action implementation.
- Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and security standards
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent and 0 years additional education and/or related experience.
- No clearance required to start.
- Applicant must be able to pass in-house solder and cable crimp and harness classes.
- Basic hand tool knowledge as well as familiarization with some power tools is required.
- Applicant must be flexible in types of work assignments.
- Applicant must be able to react to changing priorities as directed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in military or aerospace manufacturing or depot environments.
- Experience with Solumina, Costpoint, MS Office.
- NASA/Military specification Solder training course completion.
- Proficient with Hand Soldering.

Primary Level Salary Range: $47,200.00 - $78,600.00
