We are seeking Lane Verifiers to work in the Blairs, Virginia warehouse. The Lane Verifier keeps all conveyor lanes empty by scanning, palletizing and stacking cartons for order shipment.
Responsibilities- Stages empty pallets at the assigned conveyor lane.
- Use RF scanner on daily basis to scan Pallet , lane Bar Code and case bar codes
- Stacks scanned cartons onto the staged pallet, heavier cartons on the bottom, no taller than 77 inches.
- Immediately notify lane conductor of any incorrect items coming down conveyor
- Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others, and works to maintain constructive working relationships.
- A commitment to company-wide quality and safety is required.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
- Properly place and initial pallet for every pallet.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and report discrepancies to Supervisor.
- Knowledge to use a pallet jack and an automated stretch wrap machine.
- Ability to communicate with management and coworkers in order to meet departmental goals.
- Ability to understand written and oral instructions.
- Ability to perform basic math
- Continued education preferred.
- Three months prior experience and/or training in the distribution/manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) scanners preferred.
- Shipping/dock experience preferred.
We offer competitive pay based on job-related skills, experience, relevant education, training, and geographic location. The starting hourly pay rate is $13.75. Actual pay will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, the Company's compensation guidelines, and business needs.
