Packaging Machine Operator; P.M.O.) Line Support – Lines

Schedule:

3rd Shift (Sunday – Thursday, 10:20 AM – 6:30 AM). Required to rotate between positions; may be asked to train on 1st Shift.

Pay: $25.21–$26.49 per hour, plus $2.00 shift premium for 3rd shift.

A Packaging Machine Operator (PMO) Line Support at McKee Foods is responsible for receiving training and becoming proficient in assigned packaging roles. The position includes performing entry‑level tasks such as catching, monitoring, palletizing, make‑up, and wrapper room utility, as well as filling in for absentees, providing training, and assisting colleagues.

• Set‑up, adjust, and maintain packaging equipment for production runs.
• Perform required changeovers for product, code, or packaging.
• Enter OPM
  11i data timely and accurately.
• Troubleshoot and make necessary adjustments to packaging equipment.
• Disassemble, assemble, and clean equipment across the business unit for full shifts or longer.
• Perform other duties, including higher‑level jobs within the unit, as needed.
• Train employees as required.

• Overall good work record (attendance, safety, job performance, flexibility, team behaviors).

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Basic math skills; accurate measurement and conversion skills.
• Capacity to perform moderate to heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.

• Successfully complete PMO training and pass technical competencies.

• Previous machine operator experience (plastic film or wrap).
• Good mechanical skills and/or prior technical training.
• Set‑up, changeover, and troubleshooting ability.
