Experienced Machine Operator & Production Laborer (POG)
Marathon is looking for Machine Operators in the Gretna, VA area!
We are currently hiring experienced Machine Operators and dependable production labor workers for a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This is a physically demanding position that requires employees to be comfortable with repetitive lifting, manual labor, and hand stacking pallet stock daily.
Candidates must be prepared to work in a hot plant environment throughout the summer months, as the facility is not air‑conditioned and has limited air circulation.
Job
Duties Include:
- Set up and operate production machinery
- Monitor equipment and troubleshoot minor issues
- Perform basic machine maintenance and adjustments
- Hand stack pallet stock and assist with heavy manual labor
- Maintain quality standards and follow all safety procedures
- Work efficiently as part of a production team
Requirements:
- Prior machine operating or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to perform intense physical labor throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in high‑temperature conditions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to lift, stack, bend, and stand for extended periods
