Production Manager

Job Summary

Reports to the Operations Director and leads the development and implementation of activities in the production area(s) to ensure safety and meet all production, quality, and cost objectives.

• Lead production operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, and cost objectives.
• Develop production plans and staffing, prioritize production, and execute new product introductions, transfers, engineering changes, and ramps.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Test Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, and Planning to resolve operational issues and improve performance.
• Drive operational reviews and workforce planning, training, and resource utilization for production readiness.
• Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and teams, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, engagement, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives using metrics, Lean principles, and problem‑solving methodologies, and manage corrective/preventive actions.
• Manage labor, overtime, productivity, and production spending, and identify cost‑reduction initiatives through waste elimination and process optimization.

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations and principles of Operational Excellence.
• Strong background in Lean Six Sigma and project‑management methodologies.
• Strong financial and analytical ability; proficiency in business analytics.
• Proven track record of successful change‑management and continuous‑improvement programs.
• Strong and persuasive communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required; extensive knowledge of production‑process activities.
• 5 or more years of progressive supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment (or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training).

• Pay range: $115,500 – $207,900.
• Eligible for a short‑term incentive based on performance.
