Position

Rogers Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician in the Glade Hill, VA area for our Virginia SMA operations. The individual will perform fixed plant repairs in an aggregate processing facility and assist with various production duties as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Perform various tasks in an aggregate processing facility. Crane experience is a plus.
  • Must possess the ability to use a cutting torch and welder and show demonstrated heavy industrial field welding abilities.
  • Must be able to multi-task and be mechanically inclined.
Qualifications
  • Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
  • At least 1 year of professional welding experience (MIG and stick welding).
  • Previous fixed plant maintenance or related industry experience.
  • Experience in steel erection/destruction—fabricating, cutting, fitting, and welding is preferred.
  • Must have mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs.
  • Experience working with crushers, conveyors and screens is preferred but not required.
  • Previous mining/quarry/maintenance experience preferred but not required.
  • Self-motivated and able to perform duties independently without constant supervision.
  • Flexible on working hours and locations with the ability to adapt to different environments.
  • May be required to perform other duties assigned and/or assist other areas as necessary.
  • Willing to work overtime, weekends, and nights when necessary.
  • Willing to work outdoors in a variety of conditions.
  • Must have a clean motor vehicle record.
