Machine Setup Operator in Sandston

Overview

Machine Operator/Setup Operator — Erodex is an independent family-owned precision engineering company with over 40 years of experience in the precision graphite tooling and aerospace sector. The role is to be a member of the team at our new precision manufacturing subsidiary, where Erodex has established a new graphite machining facility to support its recent acquisition of a seven figure 3-year contract with a leading aerospace OEM.

• Running CNC Machining centres using proven processes
• Carry out batch inspection and prepare goods for shipment
• Working with senior engineer to develop and improve on site process
• Liaise with UK office to provide feedback and suggestions for Continuous Improvement

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a setter / operator using 3 and/or axis CNC machines
• Experience on 3 and/or 5 axis control interfaces such as Haas, Hurco, and Fanuc
• Ability to understand and troubleshoot G Code
• Able to read Engineering drawings and understand tolerances
• Good organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple jobs at once.
• CAD/CAM skills are a plus but not a necessity
