Cold-Environment Forklift Operator, 1st Shift

Job Description:

This position is for Forklift Operator PR03 in the Danville, VA facility. The Team Member willbe responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely mannerwhilemaintaininga safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Operate sin a safe manner, and in accordancetoall company policies and procedures.
Usesa handheld computer to pick and scan product.
Communicates effectively with other TM's andassistsin coordinating toaccomplishall assigned tasks.
Operates powered pallet jack, forklift and/or reach truck.

Inspects daily,charges batteries,maintains battery water level, andchangesbatteriesas necessary.
Delivers raw materials, packaging, and pallets to the appropriate production areas.
Moves inventory in an organized manner to store in a subzero freezer, cooler, anda drygoods area.
Moves finished goods and work-in-progress from production lines to the shipping area.
Unloads trucks.
Covers and stretch-wraps pallets.
Ensures assigned production lines are continuously supplied with clean raw materials and packaging.
Recordsmovementtransactions in the SAP system.
Ensures all raw materials and finished goods are labeled correctly.
Maintain an organized and clean work environment according to 5S principles, GMP's, and USDA regulations.
Reports any damages, discrepancies, unsafe behaviors, and risks to Lead.

Requirements:

3-month work history with the same employer
3-month powered industrial truck experience listed on the application preferred
Must be able to lifta 50pounds and push/pull 100 lb.
Must be able to stand forlong periods.
Must wear steel/composite toe boots that conform to site requirements.
Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime and weekends.
Must be able to work in a cold environment (
-10 degrees below zero to 40 degrees

F).
Must be willing toaccomplishother duties as assigned.
