Job RoleThe Manufacturing Engineer serves as the primary liaison between Engineering and Production, ensuring products are practical to build, meet engineering intent, and are manufactured safely, efficiently, and with consistent quality. This role supports manufacturing processes, resolves production issues, drives continuous improvement, and helps transition new designs into production.
Key Duties Engineering & Production- Act as the primary technical link between Engineering and Production.
- Review drawings, BOMs, and engineering changes for manufacturability.
- Support new product introductions and Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, and tooling.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement practical solutions.
- Support fabrication, assembly, testing, and quality initiatives.
- Improve safety, quality, efficiency, and production consistency.
- Lead process improvements and root cause investigations.
- Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
- Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Project Management.
- Participate in design reviews and production planning.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Hands‑on manufacturing experience and technical knowledge.
- Experience in manufacturing engineering, fabrication, production, or industrial manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, welding, machining, piping, and assembly.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
- Engineer‑to‑order (ETO) manufacturing.
- Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement.
- Epicor or similar ERP systems.
- Industrial refrigeration or heavy industrial manufacturing.
