Job Role: The Structural Welder works both independently and as part of a team to fabricate components for refrigeration systems including skid frames, vessels, evaporators, and condensers. Reporting to shop leadership, this position guarantees consistent hours and offers opportunities for advancement.

Shift: Daylight, Monday-Saturday (every other Saturday), guaranteed 40-50 hours/week Schedule: Off every Sunday

Key Duties
  • Weld structural components such as skid frames, penthouse frames, dispersion tanks, condenser platforms, and pipe stands
  • Weld other critical components related to compressors, vessels, evaporators, oil separators, and prefabricated assemblies
  • Work closely with shop foremen and the VP of Manufacturing
  • Assist with insulation, electrical, and painting tasks as needed
Requirements
  • Welding school graduate and 1+ year of welding experience preferred (extensive experience considered in lieu of education)
  • Ability to pass a 3G Stick Weld test (¼” plate, 37.5° bevel, open root, uphill progression)
  • Ability to climb 40-foot ladders and work at heights in a safety harness
  • Safe operation of scissor lifts, forklifts, boom lifts, lulls, and other industrial equipment
  • Must be able to see and hear industrial equipment
  • Capable of working independently for 10-12 hour shifts
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs frequently
  • Ability to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, and squat for extended periods
  • Able to work in hot or cold shop environments with required PPE
  • Pre‑employment drug screening and background check required
  • Familiarity with rigging, torch cutting, grinder and wire wheel operation, leveling, and use of measurement tools
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to stand, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise).
  • Must have the physical stamina to perform repetitive motions and remain on feet for most of the shift.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate tools accurately and safely.
