Position Summary
The Manufacturing Assembler team member is responsible for supporting manufacturing and production operations through the assembly, inspection, packaging, and movement of products and materials. This role works collaboratively with team members to meet production goals while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble products, components, or subassemblies according to work instructions, specifications, and production schedules.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, machinery, and production equipment safely and effectively.
- Inspect materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Identify and report defects, equipment issues, or process concerns to supervisors or team leads.
- Package, label, and prepare products for shipment or storage.
- Maintain accurate production records, logs, and documentation as required.
- Follow established manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Assist with material handling, inventory movement, and workstation organization.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, productivity, and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to achieve production objectives.
- Participate in and follow lean manufacturing methodologies and manufacturing practices
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualification
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, production, distribution, or industrial experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Understanding of manufacturing and production processes.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and production equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and production demands.
- Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
- Manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial facility environment.
- May require overtime, shift work, weekends, or flexible scheduling based on business needs.
- Frequent interaction with production personnel, supervisors, quality teams, and logistics personnel.
- The position requires the ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to [50 pounds] on a regular basis. Candidates must demonstrate physical strength and stamina to perform various tasks, including but not limited to, loading, and unloading, operating equipment, and assisting in the transportation of various materials. Proper lifting techniques and safety protocols must be followed to ensure personal and team safety.
