A Day in the Life:
The Sanitation Technician is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the production facility, including all machinery, floor, pipes, etc.
Starting pay is $17 per hour. This role is eligible to receive an annual incentive bonus.
What You ll Be Doing :
- Undergo direct training in the operation of machinery needed for the effective cleaning of the assigned equipment. Prior to operation or cleaning of any machinery all employees will be given hands-on safety training. This includes operational controls as well as pinch points, and safety guards.
- Clean assigned areas according to the Master Sanitation Schedule. This includes a top-down cleaning of all areas, including walls, pipes, tanks, floors and machinery as well as needed breakdown of machinery in assigned area.
- Proper formulation and testing of chemicals.
- Follow established Safety, Quality, and Good Manufacturing Practice policies and procedures.
- Proper notification of any malfunctioning machinery during cleaning process.
- Communicate with Production and Maintenance personnel regarding status of the lines.
- Maintain sanitation tools and chemical inventory. Communicate needs to Sanitation Supervisor/QA Manager.
- Verify all tools and equipment are properly accounted for and put away.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of Sanitation Cage.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor and/or the Quality Assurance Manager.
Skill/Experience Requirements :
- High School Diploma, GED, or Associated Experience
- Must be able to work a Friday through Sunday shift
- Basic Knowledge of manufacturing equipment: including, pumps, motors, conveyors, air valves, and power sources
- Must show mechanical aptitude and be skilled enough to perform light mechanical disassembly
- Problem solving and trouble-shooting equipment failure skills
