FSQA Tech

As a FSQA Tech you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Essential duties and responsibilities include performing physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems, documenting and calculating results accurately, taking corrective action when necessary, such as alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming products, and reporting results to management.

Handling additional assignments as requested.

Working conditions include a normal food manufacturing setting, with physical requirements involving lifting materials and products up to 75 pounds. Safety equipment use of steel-toed work boots, hardhats, safety glasses (where required), hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), and smocks is required. Cell phones and jewelry are not permitted on the factory floor.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, minimum of 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry OR related Quality Assurance type experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills, skills to complete Tyson paperwork, ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce, good problem identification and problem-solving skills, math and organizational skills, ability to read and interpret product specifications, ability to function well under stress, and flexibility to work where and when needed.

Physical requirements include willingness and ability to lift up to 75 lbs, ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day, ability to work in cold/hot temperatures typically ranging from 30-90 degrees Fahrenheit, ability to work in wet environment, repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing and pulling, ability to reach high and low levels frequently, ability to climb step ladders and or stairs, ability to work overtime and weekends as needed, and position will require Lock Out Tag Out certification.
