Essential Responsibility

This position is responsible for operating machines that fabricate parts and possesses knowledge of various manufacturing machines, process operations, and product  CL/TL and AA/AL.

Key Tasks / Primary Responsibilities
  • Reviews specifications by reading process standards to determine machine adjustments and material requirements; determines accuracy of machine operations by measuring work piece dimensions; observes machines, detects work piece defects and machine malfunctions; handles scrap/rework products properly.
  • Operates machines to meet or exceed daily production targets; activates machine through buttons; completes required documents clearly and timely; reports any machine problems to management promptly; performs additional functions as assigned.
  • Operates machine and covers breakouts as assigned by Supervisor on a daily basis; possesses required knowledge of changeover processes for multiple machines.
  • Manages startup and completion for lot management properly.
Qualifications

Education / Certifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Must have two years experience in manufacturing and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills and Knowledge
  • Manages time and resources using tools provided to maximize productivity and accomplish tasks on time.
  • Keeps management informed by participating in meetings and reporting problems verbally or in writing to avoid confusion.
Additional Required Skills and Knowledge
  • Upholds standards of quality, cost, and safety by following company guidelines; reports any non‑compliance to Supervisor or Management; wears proper PPE; proposes improvements as needed.
  • Contributes to team effort by consistently achieving individual goals, being flexible in work assignments, covering for others, and using feedback to improve performance.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attaining job‑related certifications; seeks out training to improve personal skills, efficiency, and knowledge, and applies that knowledge to the job.
  • Upkeeps professionalism in the workplace through professional conduct and appearance; recognizes limitations and seeks assistance when needed; uses established communication channels.
  • Trains and assists new hires.
Physical Demands / Work Environment
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk during office or field duties.
  • Full range of motion to see, hear, touch, and observe documents or materials on the field.
  • Ordinary vision and hearing for communication and observation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Experience / Qualification

Language Skills

  • Ability to respond to questions in English.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to apply basic mathematics concepts such as minimum, maximum, average, and other principles.

Reasoning Skills

  • Ability to apply knowledge and sense of understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Other Skills
  • Must be tactful, mature, flexible, and able to respond to multiple work pressures.
  • Understand and practice manufacturing fundamentals such as NAMI, 3S check system, 5S, Control‑By‑Looking, poka‑yoke, safety, company policy, and quality policy.
  • Skilled with knowledge of many different manufacturing machines, process operations, and product .
  • Identify possible safety problems and report accordingly.
  • Preferred experience operating at least one machine in Grade 4, Grade 5 or equivalent manufacturing experience.
