Job Title:
Paint Mixer/Cabinet Loader
Location:
Dublin, VA
Position Summary The Paint Mixer/Cabinet Loader safely and efficiently uses raw materials and equipment to produce, mix, and supply high-quality semi-finished and finished material. This role actively participates in safety, environmental, productivity, training, and housekeeping programs at a customer site.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 5 AM - 1:30 PM (Overtime available depending on business needs)
The expected compensation for this position is $20 per hour.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Operate all required equipment safely and efficiently, including pumps, scales, mix machines, and day/bulk tanks
- Wash equipment (tanks, pumps, piping, and tools)
- Load (charge) tanks ranging from 2 to 250-gallon capacity
- Load, move, and lift pails of finished product up to 5 gallons
- Maintain FIFO racks by stocking materials up to 75 lbs.
- Perform in-process quality tests (dirt checks, wet color, viscosity)
- Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process documentation
- Adjust in-process material per lab instructions
- Filter product, including loading/changing FSI filters and traps
- Fill semi-finished and finished product into drums, totes, bulk storage, or pails
- Label containers per SOP, customer, and DOT requirements
- Participate in housekeeping and 5S initiatives
- Support lean manufacturing practices
- Perform selective maintenance tasks and equipment switch‑outs to keep processes running
- Operate computer-controlled equipment
- Follow all site and area guidelines related to job functions (breaks, availability, etc.)
- Follow all Area Operating Procedures (AOPs) relevant to job duties
- Flexibility for occasional weekend work based on customer need
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. regularly
- Ability to follow detailed written procedures and documentation
- Basic computer skills for operating computer-controlled equipment
- Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends
